SmartStart: This technology automatically commences the CPAP therapy as soon as it senses breathing.
Pressure relief: This setting allows you to ease and adjust the pressure when exhaling thus making it comfortable for longer CPAP therapy.
Mask fit: This setting allows you to run a seal integrity check to make sure that the mask is securely in place. An indicator light shows if the seal is secure (green smiling face) or not (red frowning face).
Humidity level: Set the humidity level of the air produced by the
CPAP machine between 1 (lowest) to 3 (highest) or turn it off.
Ramp time: This setting allows you to set a period of time for low-pressure therapy. You can select the AutoRamp TM option so that the machine detects your breathing and fine-tunes the pressure accordingly.
Expiratory Pressure Relief The
ResMed AirSense 10 Machines provide Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) that gives patients the ease of breathing using a CPAP device as though they are breathing naturally. This technology adjusts the amount of pressure that is delivered during exhalation and inhalation. This helps maintain the optimal treatment by providing adequate air flow during inhalation and reduces the pressure during exhalation. Thus, patients are provided with enhanced comfort during the CPAP therapy.
This EPR technology operates by diminishing the pressure at the onset of inhalation and reducing that pressure through exhalation. The pressure easily drops in increments of one centimeter of pressure contingent on the setting. You can set the EPR from 1 to 3 or turn it off depending on your needs and preferences. The pressure modifications are gradual and very minimal so as not to disturb you especially when you are using it all through the night.
But more than control the pressure, it is also able to detect if you are suffering from a typical breathing sequence. This is very beneficial to people who are suffering from sleep apnea as the EPR will stop until your normal breathing cycle restarts before it returns to the desired pressure setting. HumidAir Heated Humidifier The
AirSense 10 AutoSet CPAP Machine features a built-in HumidAir Humidifier that allows you to adjust the humidity level by accessing the "My Options" on the screen found on the control panel. The settings have nine levels, with 8 having the highest humidification level and 1 the lowest.
The
AirSense 10 AutoSet CPAP Machine is also available with the optional ClimateLineAir Heated Tube that optimizes the humidification through the Climate Control's Auto function. With this system, it counts the air temperature in the room to deliver the best humidification with minor condensation. AirSense 10 is connected to ResMed's propriety cloud-based management system called AirView. This feature offers caregivers the ability to check, monitor, and change the settings of the

The AirView comes with a wireless device that allows the users to go into the cloud and share their information with their caregivers as well as heathcare providers. It uses the program called "myAir" to record as well as monitor their data and send the information to a gadget like a tablet or computer.
